Overview
IBMG-Server
IBMG-Server provides a powerful solution for retrieving and storing data from Siemens PLCs, Modbus devices, and SAIA PLCs.
Communication with these devices takes place via an Ethernet channel (TCP or UDP) or through serial connections (RS232 or RS485).
The recorded data may include both digital and analogue signals and is stored in binary files on an hourly and daily basis. In addition, IBMG-Server offers the option to write data to a SQL Server database, enabling efficient and streamlined data security.
IBMG-Server goes beyond simply collecting data from PLCs; it also provides the ability to perform calculations on this data. This includes both simple mathematical operations and more complex computations, including statistical processing.
IBMG-Configure
IBMG-Configure allows you to fully set up the IBMG-Server for communication with your PLC.
You can add and configure the communication interface, insert or import I/O modules and data blocks, and finally create or import all required variables.
With this tool, you define how the IBMG-Server reads and interprets your PLC data.
I/O modules represent the physical inputs and outputs of your controller, while data blocks contain the internal structured data used by your PLC program. By importing or defining variables, you specify exactly which signals should be logged, monitored, or analyzed.
IBMG-Configure brings all configuration steps together in one clear workflow—ensuring your IBMG-Server is ready for reliable data collection.
IBMG-Analyze
IBMG-Analyze is an advanced trending application that retrieves data from IBMG-Server and presents it to the user in a clear and user-friendly way for a variety of purposes.
Convenient preconfigured groups make it easy for users to quickly request and analyze graphs.
Within IBMG-Analyze, signals can be viewed and analysed effortlessly. Features such as delta levels, standard deviation, and change per time unit are built in by default.
Through the live trend function, specific signals can be monitored in real time.
The application assists in tracking process parameters and adds significant value when analysing PLC program behaviour, ensuring that errors can be detected quickly.
